We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for a Contract position. This role supports day-to-day human resources operations by delivering organized administrative assistance, responsive employee support, and reliable coordination across recruitment and personnel processes. The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of experience in HR support and can help maintain accurate records, compliance standards, and a positive experience for candidates and employees alike.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including preparing documents, scheduling pre-employment steps, and helping employees transition smoothly into the organization.

Maintain personnel records with accuracy and confidentiality while ensuring required HR documentation is complete, current, and properly filed.

Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting staffing teams throughout the selection process.

Facilitate background screening and employment verification tasks in a timely manner while following established compliance guidelines.

Assist with performance review administration by tracking timelines, preparing materials, and following up with managers and employees as needed.

Prepare routine HR reports and provide administrative support for audits, compliance reviews, and departmental initiatives.

Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general employment matters with professionalism and discretion.

Perform clerical and office support duties that help the HR team operate efficiently and meet organizational goals.

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in human resources coordination, HR administration, or a related support role.

Working knowledge of onboarding, employee file management, and general HR operational processes.

Experience assisting with recruiting activities such as interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring coordination.

Familiarity with background checks, employment verification, and HR compliance documentation.

Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
