Medical Assistant

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay: $24.34 per hour

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join a busy adult healthcare practice. This position is ideal for a certified or registered medical assistant who enjoys providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will support providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Room patients and prepare them for examinations.

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.

Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.

Perform point-of-care testing and accurately document results.

Assist providers during examinations and minor in-office procedures.

Prepare and clean examination rooms between patients.

Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as directed.

Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.

Experience working with adult patients in a clinical setting.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology preferred.

Schedule

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

No weekends

Additional Information

Solid blue, black, or gray scrubs required.

Limited travel may be required during training and onboarding.

Work is performed at a single clinic location in Orlando, FL .

Interviews will be conducted in person .

Pay Details: $24.34 per hour
