Description We are looking for a dependable Medical Receptionist to support daily front desk operations in a busy healthcare setting. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while keeping scheduling and administrative tasks organized. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence handling routine medical office duties in a well-organized environment.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors, provide front desk assistance, and maintain a courteous and welcoming office atmosphere.

Coordinate appointment scheduling, confirm upcoming visits, and update calendars to help support efficient patient flow.

Manage patient check-in activities, including collecting required information and verifying appointment details upon arrival.

Answer incoming phone calls, respond to routine questions, and direct messages or inquiries to the appropriate staff members.

Maintain accurate front office records and support day-to-day administrative tasks for the medical practice.

Use basic medical terminology appropriately when communicating with patients and internal staff.

Assist with office procedures related to patient intake and other reception-related functions as needed. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a medical receptionist, front office, or similar healthcare administrative role.

Hands-on experience with patient scheduling and appointment coordination in a clinical or medical office setting.

Familiarity with patient check-in processes and general reception responsibilities.

Working knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and patient-focused approach.

Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced front desk environment.
