Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description
This entry-level construction laborer role supports a large data center project by performing a variety of basic construction tasks, including site cleanup, material handling, and general labor activities. You will work as part of a small crew and contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient job site throughout a long-term construction project.
Responsibilities
Perform general construction labor tasks such as site cleanup, debris removal, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Set up, install, and maintain temporary fencing, banners, and other site protection or signage as directed.
Move, load, and unload construction materials and equipment safely around the job site, including heavy lifting as needed.
Use hand tools and power tools to support basic construction activities in accordance with safety guidelines.
Assist skilled trades and other crew members with various tasks to support daily construction operations.
Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a two-person laborer crew.
Adhere to all site safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues to supervision promptly.
Arrive on time and work a consistent schedule of 10-hour shifts, maintaining productivity throughout the day.
Support long-term project needs by remaining flexible and willing to take on additional duties as the project evolves.
Essential Skills
Experience performing general labor or construction tasks, including site cleanup and basic job site support.
Ability to work in commercial construction environments, including large-scale or data center projects.
Capability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout a 10-hour shift.
Proficiency using basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Valid driver's license (DL required).
Strong reliability and punctuality for a 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday schedule.
Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Previous experience on commercial construction sites is beneficial.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work cooperatively in a small crew environment.
Willingness to commit to a long-term project assignment.

Work Environment

The environment is an active commercial construction site where you will regularly use hand tools and power tools, perform heavy lifting, and navigate uneven terrain. You must provide and wear your own personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, work boots, gloves, safety vest, and other appropriate attire suitable for outdoor construction work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
