Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a respected law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. This position supports attorneys handling litigation, transactional matters, or a combination of both, and is well suited for someone who values precision, strong attention to detail, and collaboration. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex legal work in a stable, team-focused office environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to attorneys across litigation and transactional matters, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.

Prepare, revise, format, and organize legal correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other case or matter-related documents.

Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, manage deadlines, and track important dates to support efficient workflow.

Handle electronic court submissions and filing activities, maintaining compliance with jurisdictional rules and procedural requirements.

Maintain and update case files, client records, and document management systems so information is accessible and well organized.

Communicate with clients, court personnel, and internal team members in a detail-focused manner to facilitate case and matter progress.

Assist with compiling exhibits, binders, and supporting materials for hearings, closings, meetings, or other legal proceedings.

Monitor multiple assignments at once, prioritizing urgent tasks while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience working as a legal assistant within a law firm environment.

Background supporting attorneys in civil litigation, transactional practice, or both areas.

Demonstrated experience with electronic filing and court filing procedures.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities effectively.

Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to a legal setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal document management platforms.

Careful attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work in a fast-paced office.
