Position Overview
As a TIG Welder, you'll perform precision welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain both quality and productivity while working within established cycle times and production targets.
Unlike custom fabrication shops, this environment is highly process-driven and focused on consistency, efficiency, and repeatable excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
Perform high-quality TIG welding on black carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe assemblies.
Weld pipe up to 8 inches in diameter, including various production assemblies.
Complete carbon steel-to-stainless steel welds.
Weld flanges, elbows, and compressor piping components.
Execute all phases of the welding process, including:
Root Pass
Fill Pass
Cover Cap
Ensure welds meet quality and production standards consistently.
Material Preparation
Prepare materials for welding through grinding, beveling, cleaning, and proper fit-up.
Verify proper alignment and preparation of pipe, flanges, and fittings before welding.
Maintain clean work areas and organized workstations.
Production & Quality
Meet production goals while maintaining exceptional weld quality.
Work efficiently within established cycle times and takt times.
Support continuous flow manufacturing and line-driven production requirements.
Perform visual inspections of completed welds to ensure quality compliance.
Follow all safety procedures, production standards, and quality requirements.

? Proven TIG welding experience with:

Carbon-to-Stainless Dissimilar Metal Welds
? Strong pipe welding
? Experience welding:

? Proficiency in:
Root Pass Techniques
Fill Pass Techniques

? Experience with pipe preparation, including:
Grinding
Beveling
Cleaning
Fit-Up
? Ability to maintain quality while working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
? Understanding of production concepts such as:
Takt Time
Cycle Time
Production Flow
? Experience working within or alongside a production line environment
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive recent steel welding experience
Manufacturing or assembly-line welding experience
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and follow production documentation
Experience meeting production metrics while maintaining quality standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to perform repetitive welding operations with precision
Capability to work safely while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a physically active production environment
Schedule
1st & 2nd Shift
Monday through Thursday 6am-4:30pm OR 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM
Additional Details
10% Shift Differential
Four-day workweek
Mandatory Friday overtime may be required based on production needs

Work Environment
This position is based in a modern manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, operating on a fast-paced production line. Success in this role requires the ability to balance speed, efficiency, and quality while maintaining focus throughout the shift.
You'll work alongside a skilled team in an environment focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Unlike custom fabrication shops, this role centers on repeatable processes, standardized work, and producing high-quality welds that meet demanding production schedules.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.60/hr.
