This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule during normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

Processing and sending formal appeal responses to Providers / Clients

Assist with entering outbound mail tracking numbers

Processing and sending Provider Packets when needed

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience

Must be 18 years of age OR older

1+ years of data entry experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, call center, medical claims, etc.) using computers as the primary job tool

1+ years of experience working in a remote environment

Experience with computers and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

Experience with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort / filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)

Typing skills with a high level of speed and accuracy; ability to complete large volumes of data entry with minimal errors

Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST from Monday - Friday, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with health care, medical, OR pharmacy terminology

Call center experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

Reside within Pacific, Mountain, or Central Standard Time

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently

Strong written communication skills including advanced skills in grammar and spelling

Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in written communication and data entry tasks

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $18 - $32 hourly based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
