FUNCTION:
The BaaS Communications Coordinator is responsible for the support and review of marketing strategies for FinTech programs within the Bank's Banking as a Service (BaaS) portfolio. Reporting to the BaaS Program Manager, this role also oversees the enhancement and monitoring of marketing processes, ensuring timelines and workflows adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) while proactively identifying and resolving delays to maintain efficient and compliant execution.
The position requires a strong understanding of BaaS, digital marketing strategies, and compliance requirements. The Communications Coordinator works independently on day-to-day execution while collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, and leadership teams to support and optimize FinTech marketing efforts.
In addition, this role contributes to the development and evolution of marketing strategies for the BaaS business line, helping position the Bank as a competitive and compliant leader within the FinTech ecosystem
Job Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy, Execution & Oversight
Serve as a primary point of contact for Fintech marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with the BaaS Compliance team to provide weekly marketing priorities.
Act as a communication liaison to assist Marketing and Community Relations in strategizing, reviewing, and approving BaaS/Fintech communications that support FinTech and Bank objectives.
Work with BaaS leadership to promote BaaS partnerships and initiatives, enhancing mutual FinTech and Bank brand reputation.
Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor and evaluate fintech marketing activities to ensure all campaigns, communications, and promotional materials comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and brand standards.
Review marketing strategies, advertising content, and campaign initiatives to identify regulatory implications, assess compliance risks, and recommend appropriate mitigating controls.
Monitor BaaS social media channels, media coverage, and press inquiries, identifying potential reputational or compliance risks and escalating significant issues to the Director of Marketing and Community Relations when appropriate.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
Lead and manage case reviews in appropriate systems in partnership with Marketing and Compliance for BaaS/Fintech materials.
Develop, implement, and enhance processes and procedures to streamline marketing asset reviews and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Create reporting to monitor the status of all marketing assets in progress and track prior month activities, including internal SLAs.
Relationship Management & Program Growth
Foster strong relationships with each Fintech client.
Collaborate with the Banking as a Service leadership to identify new opportunities and contribute to the growth of the BaaS business line.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to BaaS, and proactively share insights with clients and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
2+ years of banking experience preferred, including experience in compliance and/or marketing.
Excellent written, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks while prioritizing work.
Advanced computer literacy and technical aptitude.

Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
