Admissions Coordinator Dent Med-Student Affairs - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26004495) The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is overseen by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs for the School of Dental Medicine. The office assists pre-doctoral dental students, dental hygiene students, international advanced standing students, and residents by providing services such as student orientation, financial aid assistance, and registration. Students from all programs will graduate as competent health care professionals who treat all patients with respect and compassion, provide care using current best evidence, and will be supported in their learning with state-of-the-art technology. OSA provides students with an environment that supports the school's defined strategic goals within a diverse, welcoming, and supportive community. Job Summary Coordinates the admissions process for applicants to include active correspondence with and visit logistics for prospective students. Participates in recruitment activities and projects. Essential Functions Incumbent must have excellent organizational and communications skills, be able to manage multiple tasks at one time and display a professional demeanor. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for assisting with attracting and recruiting highly qualified students to the pre-doctoral programs of the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and collaborating in the day-to day management of the processes surrounding their admission to the programs with oversight from the Admissions Manager. The incumbent's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting and assisting the Admissions Manager in execution of the admissions processes for the School of Dental Medicine predoctoral, advanced standing and guaranteed admit programs. They will coordinate collection and dissemination of applicant information, maintain the admissions databases, process incoming and outgoing correspondence including invitations, acceptances, and letters of non-consideration, coordinate on-site events and meetings, assist with external recruiting events and fairs, serve as liaison to pipeline organizations and other prospective students, process admission fees and deposits, coordinate with the Office of International Services as required, perform basic analyses and prepare reports, assist in maintaining the admissions section of the Student Affairs webpage, and support the team's social media presence.
