Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely receiving, unloading, sorting, and organizing shipments of seed corn. This position involves operating material-handling equipment, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy, and working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. On-the-job training is provided to help you learn the specific processes and equipment used in the facility.
Responsibilities
Receive and unload incoming shipments of seed corn in a safe and efficient manner.
Sort, label, and organize products in the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory and easy retrieval.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with safety guidelines and training.
Follow all safety procedures and job requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain strong attention to detail and quality when handling, storing, and moving products.
Collaborate effectively with team members to complete daily shipping, receiving, and production tasks.
Assist with general labor and production activities as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Stand and remain active on your feet for an 8-hour shift while performing warehouse duties.
Participate in on-the-job training to learn facility processes, equipment operation, and safety practices.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse and production environment.
Experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year of previous warehouse or production experience preferred.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the workday.
Ability to stand on your feet for an 8-hour shift while performing physical tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Willingness to follow safety guidelines and job requirements consistently.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No diploma required, making this role accessible to candidates with diverse educational backgrounds.
Previous forklift experience is beneficial but not required, as training can be provided.
Comfort working in a production and warehouse setting handling agricultural products such as seed corn.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
