Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring warehouse operations run smoothly by accurately receiving, organizing, and preparing freight for delivery. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited for someone who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and safety while working in an onsite environment in Pearl City, HI, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
Identify, sort, and organize freight on pallets according to manifests and customer orders.
Review freight for accuracy and verify shipment counts against documentation.
Locate and document missing or damaged freight, including taking photos when necessary.
Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
Complete manifest paperwork accurately for each piece or pallet of freight.
Conduct daily inventory of trailers in the yard and record findings as required.
Assist with pre-loading of bobtail trucks to ensure timely dispatch.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip forklift inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
Perform general maintenance tasks and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Minimum of six (6) months of related warehouse experience.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Forklift certification if operating a forklift.
Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment, including use of steel-toed shoes.
Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment in a warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a logistics, freight handling, or transportation environment a plus.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High level of personal accountability and reliability.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite in a warehouse facility in Pearl City, HI, operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work environment is fast-paced and hands-on, involving regular loading, unloading, sorting, and organizing of freight on pallets and in trailers. Team members work around material handling equipment such as forklifts and bobtail trucks and are expected to perform daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and reliability. The warehouse emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety rules and operating procedures. Work may involve exposure to typical warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures and noise levels. Appropriate safety attire, such as steel-toed shoes, is required, and employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient operation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
