Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receiving Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, accurately tracking inventory, and ensuring materials are properly documented and stored within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using computer systems to enter shipment data, maintain inventory records, and support overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.

Enter receipts, inventory transactions, and shipment information into the company's inventory management system.

Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of materials, products, and warehouse stock.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory counts, and receiving documentation.

Label, organize, and properly store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.

Coordinate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Utilize computer systems, scanners, and other technology to process inventory and shipment data.

Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment when needed.

Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

Support shipping, warehouse, and inventory functions as business needs require.

Strong computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software.

High attention to detail and accuracy when entering and tracking data.

Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The dress code is casual, including jeans and a t-shirt, with safety glasses and hearing protection provided. Steel-toed boots are required. The facility is large and divided into manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing areas for car washes. Employees may work in any of these areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
