Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on accurately picking, building, and moving orders within a busy warehouse that supports a manufacturing operation. You will use RF scanners, forklifts, and an inventory system to ensure products are picked correctly, free of defects, and staged or shipped on time. You will also serve as a key point of contact for transferring materials between two adjacent warehouse buildings and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Responsibilities
Pick and build orders for assembly, ensuring all items match order slips and are staged correctly for production.
Read and interpret order slips accurately to confirm the correct product, quantity, and location.
Inspect products for defects and verify that all items meet quality standards before they leave the warehouse.
Use an RF hand scanner to locate, pick, and track inventory throughout the warehouse.
Assist with online orders by picking, packing, and preparing them for shipment.
Load picked and packed orders onto trucks safely and efficiently.
Bring carts of supplies to various stations around the shop to keep production and assembly areas stocked.
Act as the main point of contact for moving materials and inventory into the newly acquired building.
Accurately enter and update information in the inventory system when items are moved between buildings or locations.
Work regularly in both the primary warehouse and the newly acquired building, coordinating with 1-2 other team members.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
Support shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, staging, and organizing incoming and outgoing goods.
Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet shipping deadlines and daily production needs.
Stay until all shipments are ready to go for the next morning, including working overtime when needed.
Essential Skills
Approximately 6 years of warehouse experience.
Proven forklift experience and ability to operate a forklift safely.
Experience with shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment.
Ability to read and interpret order slips and related documentation accurately.
Proficiency using an RF hand scanner for picking and tracking inventory.
Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail to ensure products are picked correctly and free of defects.
Capability to enter and update data accurately in an inventory system.
Willingness to work some overtime to ensure all shipments are ready for the next day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with order picking in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Hands-on experience using RF scanners for order fulfillment.
Experience in supporting assembly or sub-assembly operations through warehouse activities.
Experience coordinating material moves between multiple warehouse locations.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility that assembles large components for bus companies and also serves other automotive and agricultural customers. The warehouse occupies about half of the building, with products stored on shelves in boxes, and you will also work in a newly acquired adjacent building. You will regularly use forklifts, RF scanners, carts, and an inventory system to move and track materials. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some overtime required when needed to ensure all shipments are ready for the next morning. The environment is active and production-focused, with frequent movement between warehouse areas and close coordination with a small team.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
