Job Description
This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including catheter assemblies performed under a microscope in a regulated cleanroom environment. You will follow established procedures and documentation standards to ensure every product meets strict quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while supporting ongoing process development and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Assemble medical devices, including catheter assemblies, under a microscope while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency.
Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and all Safety requirements.
Successfully complete training on assigned production tasks and apply that training consistently in daily work.
Interpret and use travelers/routers, identify and verify materials, and correctly utilize production and inspection tools and equipment required for product builds.
Operate tools and equipment used in manufacturing and inspection and complete all associated documentation accurately and on time.
Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks and maintain product quality.
Work directly with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality standards are met at all times.
Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine process documentation and contribute feedback on process improvements.
Perform inventory counts and support material control to ensure adequate supplies for production.
Use adhesives, including different @types of Loctite, EFD dispensers, and UV curing systems as part of the assembly process, following all safety and handling guidelines.
Conduct in-process inspections to verify workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices and document results according to Good Documentation Practices.
Communicate clearly with team members, engineers, and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and suggestions.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and adapt to other duties as assigned to support production needs.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or prototyping experience.
Prior experience in medical device assembly, including work under a microscope.
Experience with catheter assembly or catheter product manufacturing (strongly preferred).
Prior cleanroom experience and ability to follow cleanroom protocols.
Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.
Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Line Clearance requirements, and Good Documentation Practices.
Experience using microscopes for precision assembly and inspection tasks.
Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly work.
Ability to operate production and inspection tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Solid communication skills to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, and production teammates.
Ability to use required safety equipment when performing lab or cleanroom work.
Comfort working with adhesives, including different Loctite products, and using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations in a regulated environment, including adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing catheter products is a plus.
Exposure to start-up or growth-stage manufacturing environments is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret production drawings, travelers, and routers.
Comfort collaborating with engineering teams to develop and refine process documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple tasks within the production area.

Work Environment
This position is on 2nd shift, typically running from 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a shift differential provided for 2nd shift and a higher differential available for 3rd shift roles. Work takes place in a cleanroom environment where you follow strict cleanliness, safety, and contamination control procedures. You will regularly use microscopes, adhesives (including various Loctite products), EFD dispensers, UV curing systems, and other production and inspection tools. The role involves standing or sitting at workstations for extended periods, performing detailed manual tasks that require fine hand dexterity, and consistently following established safety and documentation practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
