Supporting a regional mechanical team and contributes to the design of systems for industrial clients, including semiconductor, aerospace, and pharmaceutical facilities, as well as select higher education and public-sector projects. The position emphasizes the creation and coordination of detailed HVAC and mechanical models and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
Create and revise HVAC and mechanical design drawings using Revit 3D design software and AutoCAD, with a strong focus on ductwork, piping, equipment layouts, and coordinated mechanical models.
Produce construction-document support materials, including plans, details, sections, schedules, and mechanical layouts for HVAC and related mechanical systems.
Support mechanical design work across complex industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and building-related projects, primarily for semiconductor, aerospace, and pharmaceutical clients, with some higher education and state agency work.
Focus on advanced manufacturing and industrial environments.
Coordinate mechanical layouts with other disciplines, including electrical, structural, architectural, plumbing, process, fire protection, and civil/site teams to produce complete and accurate construction drawings and details.
Participate in internal design coordination meetings, model reviews, and project discussions to ensure alignment among disciplines and to resolve design issues.
Review existing conditions in facilities and assist with documenting existing mechanical and HVAC systems for renovation, retrofit, or upfit projects.
Apply mechanical engineering and building systems knowledge to develop practical, constructible HVAC and mechanical solutions that meet project requirements.
Incorporate red-line markups and feedback into design documents and models accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with project teams to support project management activities related to HVAC and mechanical design deliverables.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in HVAC design and mechanical design for building and industrial systems.
Hands-on experience with Revit, including Revit MEP, for 3D modeling of building systems.
Experience with AutoCAD, including 3D capabilities, for building systems design and drafting.

Familiarity with electrical and building systems design and coordination.
Experience with HVAC engineering and piping design in industrial or advanced manufacturing environments.
Ability to incorporate red-line markups and design changes accurately.
Exposure to project management activities related to mechanical and HVAC design.
Strong drafting and engineering documentation skills.
Participation in internal design coordination meetings and model reviews.
Work Environment
The role operates in a hybrid office setting that combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, plumbing, process, fire protection, and civil/site professionals, using Revit, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD 3D as primary design tools.
