The Data and Technology Analyst analyzes, designs, develops, and implements technology solutions and/or strategies in collaboration with economic sections and senior technology staff and performs routine and non-routine maintenance on systems to ensure optimal functioning and avoid system failure. In addition, the Data and Technology Analyst identifies and conducts research to advise systems design, data definition, data access, or configuration changes.About the TeamThe Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) section serves as the in-house technology and analytical experts supporting the Division of International Finance's research, policy, and operational priorities. Section members contribute to diverse projects by applying advanced analytical techniques and modern technology solutions, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and cloud computing, to solve complex problems and inform decision-making. ITS manages the ingestion and analysis of large volumes of data from various sources - including non-traditional micro-data, textual data, and geospatial data - for consumption across the Division and Board, requiring sophisticated innovation and management approaches to transform raw information into actionable insights. Analytical outputs appear in policy products, research papers, and internal and external presentations. Building on current capabilities, the section is expanding its portfolio to incorporate emerging AI and machine learning techniques into its work. ITS also plays an active role in enhancing the Division's technology best practices, contributing to enterprise-wide technology initiatives, and developing in-house software tools including data pipelines, visualizations, dashboards, data applications, and web platforms that streamline workflows and improve organizational effectiveness.Section's Essential Duties Collect, refine, and transform large volumes of data from multiple high-volume internal and external sources. Perform data quality tests, data discovery initiatives, and data integrity investigations to ensure accuracy and reliability across analytical outputs and AI/ML systems.
