Job Title: 3rd Shift Assembler Job Description
This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including catheter assemblies, performed under a microscope in a regulated cleanroom environment. You will follow detailed procedures and documentation standards to build high-quality products that meet strict medical device requirements while working on 3rd shift with initial training on 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
Manufacture medical devices, including catheter assemblies, under a microscope according to established procedures and quality standards.
Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and all Safety requirements.
Successfully complete training on assigned production tasks and apply that training consistently during daily work.
Read and understand travelers/routers and use them to identify materials, track work, and ensure proper process flow.
Use microscopes and production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds and inspections.
Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently, and complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks and maintain product quality.
Work directly with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality are maintained at all times.
Collaborate with Engineers to develop and refine process documentation and support continuous improvement activities.
Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records for materials and components.
Handle and apply adhesives, including different @types of Loctite, using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems as required for product builds.
Follow cleanroom protocols and use required safety equipment when performing lab and production work.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and adapt to changing production priorities.
Perform in-process inspections to verify workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices and escalate issues as needed.
Carry out other related duties as assigned to support production and manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or equivalent prototyping experience.
Prior experience with medical device assembly, including work under a microscope.
Experience in catheter manufacturing or catheter product assembly (strongly preferred).
Prior cleanroom experience and ability to follow cleanroom protocols.
Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.
Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, and Work Instructions.
Experience with medical device manufacturing documentation, including travelers/routers, production drawings, and Good Documentation Practices.
Comfort using microscopes for assembly and inspection tasks.
Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly work.
Ability to operate production tools and inspection equipment safely and accurately.
Effective communication skills to work with Engineers, Supervisors, and team members.
Ability to use required safety equipment when performing lab and production work.
Willingness and ability to work 3rd shift and train on 2nd shift as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with catheter manufacturing processes and catheter product assembly.
Familiarity with medical device manufacturing operations in a regulated environment.
Experience working with adhesives, including various Loctite products, in a production setting.
Experience using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems for adhesive application and curing.
Knowledge of production and inspection tools and equipment commonly used in medical device assembly.
Ability to interpret and follow production drawings and detailed process documentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both assembly and documentation.
Comfort working in a startup-like environment with opportunities to support process development.
Adaptability to receive verbal instructions and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced production setting.

Work Environment
This position is on 3rd shift, with core hours from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday night through Saturday morning. You must be open to training on 2nd shift for up to two weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift. Work takes place in a cleanroom environment that follows strict cleanliness, safety, and contamination control procedures. You will regularly use microscopes, production tools, inspection equipment, EFD dispensers, and UV curing systems, and you will wear required safety equipment and cleanroom attire while performing lab and production work. The setting is a regulated medical device manufacturing facility with structured processes, detailed documentation, and a focus on quality and compliance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
