Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description**
This role focuses on heavy maintenance and modification work on CRJ 700 and 900 aircraft, as well as ERJ airframes. You will perform C and D checks, execute interior modifications to reconfigure cabin layouts, and complete various aircraft modifications while the aircraft are in the hangar for heavy checks. All heavy maintenance is performed in-house, providing long-term, stable work with no defined end date.
Responsibilities
Perform heavy maintenance activities, including C and D checks, on CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and ERJ aircraft.
Carry out interior modifications on CRJ 700 aircraft to reconfigure seating from 70 seats to 50 seats, reducing economy class and expanding first and business class sections.
Execute aircraft modifications as needed while aircraft are in the hangar for heavy checks.
Conduct troubleshooting on aircraft systems and engines, identifying issues and implementing effective repairs.
Perform engine-related tasks such as blade swaps, component changes, and work on fuel controls, excluding full engine overhauls.
Utilize airframe and powerplant expertise to complete repairs and maintenance in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings on a tablet, ensuring accurate execution of maintenance and modification work.
Work within a Part 121 and/or MRO-style environment, adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Complete aircraft assembly, repair, and heavy maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Troubleshoot aircraft systems and components to diagnose faults and perform corrective actions.
Collaborate with other mechanics and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of maintenance and modification projects.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed in accordance with maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
Support line maintenance activities as needed in addition to hangar-based heavy maintenance.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, especially when working overtime, to ensure safe and high-quality work.
Essential Skills
Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an A&P mechanic.
Experience performing heavy maintenance (C and D checks) on regional jets such as ERJ and CRJ aircraft.
Experience working on CRJ 700 and CRJ 900 aircraft, including modifications and interior reconfigurations.
Engine maintenance experience including troubleshooting, blade swaps, component changes, and working on fuel controls.
Ability to perform aircraft repair, airframe work, and general aircraft maintenance in a heavy maintenance environment.
Experience with Part 121 operations and/or MRO environments, or strong aircraft assembly experience.
Proficiency in troubleshooting aircraft systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints and drawings.
Ability to operate and work from a tablet-based system for accessing blueprints and maintenance documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience on any CRJ or ERJ airframes; experience on other airframes is also acceptable.
Powerplant mechanic experience beyond basic maintenance tasks.
Strong experience in aircraft assembly and repair in a heavy maintenance setting.
Familiarity with Part 121 regulatory environment.
Comfort working in both hangar and line maintenance settings.
Ability to work any day or shift as required by operational needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
