Job Description

Interactive Government Holdings(IGH)is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve a Physical Therapist/Injury Manager (PT/IM) for the 165th Air Support Operations Squadron, Savannah, Ga 31408.

Position Requirements

Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):

Evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals.

Must provide direct support to Tactical Air Control Party Operations and Support personnel, as directed: Provide musculoskeletal injury case, utilizing approved supplemental clinical privileges including the ordering of imaging studies, laboratory tests, basic pharmaceuticals, and referrals to specialty providers, with consistent, appropriate, and required documentation.

Participate in periodic meetings with TACP Commander and other unit personnel as directed for reasons such as, but not limited to, reviewing care provided to patients. Identify opportunities for improvement.

It is highly preferred that the PT/IM contractor shall have additional credentials as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association or as a Sports Performance Coach through the United States of America Weightlifting Association (USAWA).

Shall have a demonstrated history of performing manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, Graston Technique soft tissue mobilization and functional taping.

Shall have experience working with elite, tactical or professional level athletes.

Shall possess documented experience providing human performance, rehabilitative, or athletic conditioning services directly within a U.S. Military Special Operations Unit.

Shall be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges. PT shall maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be credentialed. Previous experience working with Tricare Medical system is highly desired for the IM position.

Shall be capable of meeting physical demands of training with TACP including the ability to hike over rough terrain to observe TACP training evolutions, the ability to assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols, and the ability to lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 20 kilograms to demonstrate proper techniques.

Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the HP program stays current with the provision of care.

Assist with the preparation of short and long-term fiscal plans.

Skills / Certifications:

Shall possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in physical therapy from a credentialed college or university and a valid state physical therapy license with board certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as either an Orthopedic or Sports Clinical Specialist (O/SCS).

Must undergo a local background check in order to meet installation access requirements and for a NPRNet account.

Qualifications:

It is highly preferred that the PT/IM shall have additional credentials as a SCS. If SCD is held they shall meet the following qualifications:

It is highly preferred that the SCS contractor shall have additional credentials as a soft tissue specialist, such as being a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or that of other providers of manual therapy for soft tissue injuries.
