Full-Time Communicable Disease Nurse

Roosevelt County Health Department is seeking a full-time Communicable Disease Nurse to help protect and promote the health of Roosevelt County residents. This specialized public health nursing position is responsible for communicable disease response, immunization services, emergency preparedness activities, public education, and related public health duties.
Primary responsibilities include investigating reportable diseases and outbreaks, coordinating laboratory testing and treatment as needed, performing contact tracing, administering vaccines and medications, providing STI testing and treatment services, supporting school and community disease prevention efforts, maintaining required records, and participating in public health emergency preparedness activities.
Applicants must have an associate degree in nursing; a bachelor's degree or higher is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong assessment, communication, writing, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently; excellent attention to detail; and a commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and quality public health service. A valid Montana driver's license is required.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Salary range is $32.09 - $41.62 per hour, depending on education and experience, plus benefits. Regular in-state travel with occasional overnight stays is required; mileage reimbursement is provided at current GSA rates.
