The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for managing exterior facility operations while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards. The Exterior Services Technician team is dedicated to maintaining Walmart facilities through landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep. What you'll do:
Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety protocols and certification requirements.
Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational standards.
Manage vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
Coordinate purchases of parts, equipment, and supplies while controlling costs and submitting warranty claims.
Lead and develop third-party providers, fostering professional growth and ensuring service quality.
Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
What you'll bring:
Proven ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Experience managing facility exterior services, including seasonal maintenance such as snow and ice removal.
Competence in troubleshooting equipment issues and providing technical support for repairs and maintenance.
Ability to prepare and manage budgets, including cost estimates and purchase approvals.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with management, third-party providers, and facility users.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
21 years of age or older.
Valid state-issued driver's license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card, Associate's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area., Experience in third-party management., Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish., State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
