Job Title: Production & Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts and ensuring seamless coordination between customers, production teams, suppliers, and internal departments. This role oversees order management, forecasting, inventory levels, material flow, and delivery performance from product launch through end-of-life. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers while driving on-time delivery and resolving supply chain and logistics challenges.
Responsibilities
Serve as primary logistics contact for assigned customer accounts.
Receive, process, and manage customer production, service, and proto@type orders.
Ensure accurate order entry and maintenance within the ERP system.
Learn and maintain customer-specific requirements related to delivery, scheduling, and order processing.
Advocate for customer requirements while balancing company objectives.
Analyze customer demand, forecasts, production schedules, and engineering changes to support production planning activities.
Coordinate logistics support throughout product lifecycle, from proto@type development through mass production.
Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and material flow to support uninterrupted operations.
Coordinate product launches and mass production build-outs.
Support trial builds and proto@type events with customers and manufacturing facilities.
Monitor customer forecast activity and identify significant demand fluctuations.
Communicate forecast changes and demand requirements to appropriate internal stakeholders.
Ensure demand and forecast data is accurately maintained within company systems.
Monitor and maintain EDI transactions.
Investigate and resolve EDI-related issues and exceptions.
Support setup and maintenance of new products and customer requirements within ERP systems.
Track shipments and maintain accurate delivery records.
Ensure on-time delivery performance to customers.
Coordinate resolution of delivery issues and supply chain disruptions.
Work with suppliers, purchasing, and operations teams to minimize obsolete inventory and material shortages.
Support international shipment activities and customs documentation requirements.
Coordinate procurement activities for externally sourced or pass-through materials and ensure timely delivery to support production requirements.
Investigate customer claims, concerns, and delivery issues.
Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement efforts.
Develop and update standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Support cross-functional initiatives to improve logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports related to logistics performance, inventory, demand, and customer activity.
Analyze operational data and present findings using spreadsheets, charts, and reporting tools.
Attend and lead meetings and take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, purchasing, production control, or material planning.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and related industry terminology.
Understanding of international shipping processes and import/export documentation.
Experience working with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
Work Environment
Fully onsite, Monday to Friday, 1st shift, 8am-5pm. The position offers a long-term direct opportunity with overtime hours available after 40 hours worked.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
