Company description
At MSL, we're on a mission to make every client more influential and a positive force of influence in the(ir) world. Why? Because we know that influence = impact and the more influential you are, the more impactful you can be. We're proud to partner with incredible brands, companies and leaders who want to push boundaries and create change - and we're looking for passionate creators and storytellers who want to do the same. But it's not just our work (and the awards we win for it) that energizes us, it's who we are as a team. A team of powerhouse professionals that is driven by three core values: Leading, Learning and Loving. A team that has ranked us a "Best Place to Work" in the industry year over year.
Overview
What we're looking for: An Account Supervisor for MSL's Healthcare practice with a primary focus on pipeline communications and plenty of runway to grow into new challenges and opportunities across accounts.
What you'll do: Anchored on one of the agency's largest and most scientifically dynamic accounts, the Account Supervisor will sit at the center of the action: translating complex clinical data and pipeline milestones into clear, compelling stories that shape how the world understands breakthrough medicine. You'll work on a highly engaged team that consistently cultivates a successful partnership with a long-standing client. You'll help drive communications around major data readouts, clinical trial results, and regulatory milestones - from embargo strategy through to launch - working shoulder to shoulder with scientific, medical, and regulatory partners. You'll have the opportunity to leverage your creative thinking to find innovative, compliant concepts that effectively engage key stakeholders over time, including creating meaningful communications materials that resonate with patients while engaging in cultural milestones. While pipeline is the primary focus, you'll also have the chance to flex across the broader account as opportunities arise.
In a fast moving, highly competitive landscape, you'll learn to spot what makes data newsworthy, how to position it against the competitive pipeline and how to build narratives that hold up to medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) scrutiny. If you're hungry to become fluent in the language of clinical science and the art of storytelling, this is where you'll grow the fastest.
Responsibilities
Pipeline & Data Storytelling: Help translate clinical trial results, scientific data, and pipeline milestones into accurate, engaging communications materials - including press releases, data announcements, and topline story briefs - that resonate with media, patients, and the scientific community.
Milestone & Congress Leadership: Support planning and execution of communications around major data milestones and medical congresses (e.g., ADA, ECO, EASD, ObesityWeek), coordinating timelines, embargoes, and deliverables across cross-functional teams.
Regulatory & MLR Fluency: Develop a strong working knowledge of the medical, legal, and regulatory review process, ensuring every claim is substantiated, compliant, and aligned to approved data. Learn to navigate the guardrails that make healthcare communications credible.
Competitive & Scientific Intelligence: Maintain a sharp understanding of the pipeline landscape, competitor data, and the evolving science, using those insights to strengthen positioning and inform strategy.
Client Engagement: Partner with account leadership to build positive client relationships and contribute to regular client and internal touch-bases that support strategic thinking and project management.
Healthcare and Cultural Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of the healthcare and competitive landscape, alongside media and cultural trends, to support ongoing account work.
Internal Leadership: Guide and mentor early-career staff as a central member of the team.
Tech Proficiency: Understand digital, social, LLM and emerging channels - including newsfluencer and owned-media tactics - to inform how pipeline data shows up across the modern media ecosystem.
Financial Management: Participate in the financial management of client business, including projections, forecasting, and invoicing.
Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience in healthcare communications - ideally with exposure to clinical data, pipeline, or scientific storytelling - including regulatory compliance and MLR processes, at a PR or Public Affairs agency
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience developing messaging and data-driven materials
Genuine curiosity about science and the healthcare climate, with an eagerness to learn how complex data becomes a headline
A strong appetite for detail and accuracy, with the instinct to fact-check claims and flag what isn't fully supported
Collaborative, yet able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Resourceful and proactive in problem solving, with creative approaches to completing tasks efficiently
Ability to build positive, effective relationships with external third parties and vendors
