As a Armed Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed in Canoga Park, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.58 / Hour

Day Time

Thur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a high-profile aerospace and defense location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support the protection of sensitive property, equipment, and information in accordance with site policies.

Maintain a visible presence while following post orders, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and assisting with investigations or response efforts as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

An Armed Guard Card and/or License is required.

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

A Guard Card and/or License is preferred.

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
