We are looking fora Human SpaceflightEngineer(Member of Technical Staff- Systems Engineering).This position will support various NASA programsintegrating activitiesand servingin various program office roles.M2M provides agency leadership for the development, analysis, integration, and implementation of human spaceflight architectures, mission plans, operationalactivitiesand spacecraft/surface system definitions. In this role, you will coordinate and collaborate across Artemistransportation and Moonbaseto develop and address matters for inflight,orbitaland surface operations.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our facility in Houston, TX, Colorado Springs, CO, or El Segundo, CA
WhatYou'llBe Doing
Servein the program office and be aconnector acrossexplorationtopicsfor moonbase, nuclear, scienceand Artemis transportation initiatives
Defineoperationaltechnical requirementsforthe various programs
Perform assessments, readiness evaluations
Collaborate with NASA missionarchitects/designersand programexperts across government and industry
Review contractor deliverables and NASA requirements to ensure compliance and system effectivenessto support operational needs
Contribute to standards development and documentationsupporting exploration operations, in addition to management of keyprogramplans/products
Support facility and infrastructure related topics and planning
Participate in technical, safety, and integration of working groups
Develop technical and progress reports to support internal teams and external partners
Supporttechnical interchange meetings, hardware reviews, and key design milestones
Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations for program offices
What You Need to be Successful -Member of Technical Staff- Systems Engineering
MinimumRequirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another related STEM discipline
1or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in systems engineeringandprogram lifecycleenvironment
Entry level experiencein human exploration architecture,integrationandmission operations
Knowledge and understanding of theengineeringprogram life cycle
Demonstrated initiative andability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships withinternal and external stakeholders
Strongpresentation and communications skills, including the ability to effectively use oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
Ability towork across diverse teams andmultipleengineering disciplines, including human in the loop disciplines
Thispositionmayrequiretheability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance
