Job Title: Industrial Electrical Technician
Job Description
This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and wants a clear path into maintenance leadership. Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controllers, relays, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and power circuits up to 480V.
Read and interpret complex electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
Perform mechanical repairs on production and facility equipment, ensuring reliable and safe operation.
Carry out welding and basic fabrication tasks to modify, repair, or build equipment and support structures as needed.
Complete basic plumbing tasks to support equipment operation and facility infrastructure.
Execute preventative maintenance schedules on electrical and mechanical systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency equipment breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.
Handle work orders for equipment modifications and new installations, ensuring projects are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment, following all safety procedures and best practices.
Support the development of a proactive maintenance culture by identifying recurring issues, recommending improvements, and contributing to long-term maintenance planning.
Demonstrate leadership potential by taking ownership of tasks, mentoring others when appropriate, and preparing for future advancement into a maintenance management role.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
Proven experience working with motors, controllers, relays, VFDs, and power circuits up to 480V.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience performing mechanical repairs on industrial equipment.
Demonstrated ability to perform welding tasks and basic fabrication work.
Ability to carry out basic plumbing tasks related to equipment and facility maintenance.
Comfort working in a dual-focus role that requires both electrical expertise and mechanical skills.
Physical ability to perform physically demanding tasks and repetitive work for extended periods.
Commitment to working safely and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Versatile, "jack-of-all-trades" mindset with a working knowledge of welding, mechanical systems, and basic fabrication.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs in an industrial environment.
Familiarity with pneumatics and related systems used in industrial equipment.
Comfort taking on project leadership responsibilities for equipment modifications and new installations.
Interest in growing into a maintenance leadership or maintenance manager role over time.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with production, maintenance, and other team members.
Organized and detail-oriented approach to completing work orders and documenting maintenance activities.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. You will work in an industrial facility environment that involves regular interaction with production equipment, electrical systems up to 480V, mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, and welding and fabrication tools. The work is physically demanding and may involve standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods. Safety and cleanliness are priorities, and you are expected to maintain an orderly, safe shop and follow all established safety procedures while performing both electrical and mechanical work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
