As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Retail Mobile Patrol in Carlsbad, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.27 / Hour

Sun10:00 AM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when appropriate.

Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity.

Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance or hazard concerns, and communicate findings through proper channels.

Support access control and closing procedures as assigned, helping to manage authorized entry, provide directions, and assist with crowd and/or visitor flow during busy periods.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

This is a primarily driving post.

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
