Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This position ensures inventory is accurately recorded, properly stored, and readily accessible, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming stock items, accurately count quantities, and record data manually or using computer systems.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Verify inventory records by comparing system data to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies and adjusting errors as needed.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
Label and identify stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, RF scanners, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Keep accurate records of stock usage, damage, and handling equipment to support inventory control and reporting.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, promptly reporting any damage or issues to supervisors.
Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers as needed.
Perform material handling tasks such as picking, packing, and loading orders in accordance with operational procedures.
Essential Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills to document inventory and coordinate with team members.
Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant warehouse equipment and tools used for material handling, labeling, and inventory control.
Prior warehouse experience with picking, packing, and loading activities.
Knowledge and practical use of RF scanners for inventory tracking and stock management.
Understanding of policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
High school diploma or GED.
2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role, with previous titles such as Material Handler.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a receiver handling incoming shipments and verifying documentation.
Background in inventory control, including counting, recording, and reconciling stock levels.
Familiarity with storage best practices to keep materials organized and easily accessible.
Experience with packing and material handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to learn and follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
Comfort working with basic computer systems or handheld devices for inventory recording and tracking.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse and stockroom environment, working with materials, equipment, and inventory on a daily basis. You will regularly use RF scanners, labeling tools, and basic computer systems to manage stock. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours. Work involves standing, walking, lifting, packing, and organizing items, as well as keeping tools, equipment, and storage areas clean and compliant with safety regulations. Attire is typically practical and suitable for a warehouse setting, allowing you to work comfortably while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
