In this role, you'll prepare and apply industrial coatings to a variety of metal components, ensuring products meet strict quality and military specification (Mil-Spec) requirements. If you have experience with industrial spray equipment, surface preparation, and coating applications, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Prepare and paint aluminum, stainless steel, ferrous metals, and other materials using industrial coating systems.
Apply primers, protective coatings, and finish coats using pressure pot spray systems and spray guns.
Mix and tint paints, including epoxy, enamel, acrylic, and two-part coating systems.
Perform surface preparation including sanding, masking, media blasting, degreasing, and chemical etching.
Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production instructions to ensure coatings meet requirements.
Measure paint coverage and film thickness to verify quality standards.
Set up, clean, troubleshoot, and maintain painting equipment and spray systems.
Assist with rigging and moving large parts to ensure proper coating access and coverage.
Maintain paint booth and paint mixing areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Monitor paint and supply inventory to support uninterrupted production.
Manage workflow independently and communicate production status updates as needed.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, efficient, and quality-focused work environment.
Qualifications
Required
Industrial painting experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or machine shop environment.
Experience painting steel, aluminum, stainless steel, or other metal products.
Ability to operate industrial spray equipment and pressure pot systems.
Knowledge of coating application techniques and surface preparation processes.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
Experience working with Mil-Spec coating requirements.
Previous experience using pressure pot spray systems.
Familiarity with two-part epoxies and industrial coating products.
Leadership or department lead experience.
Experience calculating coverage rates and coating thickness requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
