What you'll do...
Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following
established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Observes and
documents signs of wear and tear. Gathers capital expense information. Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
Determines replacement needs. Documents preventive maintenance activities.
Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry,
material handling equipment, food equipment). Inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment,
machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts. Diagnoses problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Utilizes hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment. Provides prompt response to emergency calls. Documents repair activities. Performs
pressure tests to identify leaks. Installs water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and gas lines.
Serves as a technical subject-matter expert and lead for plumbing systems by analyzing complex plumbing issues. Designs and plans solutions for
large-scale repairs or modifications. Ensures all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes. Serves as the primary point of contact
for external plumbing contractors and inspectors.
Provides mentorship and technical guidance to Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbers and other Maintenance associates. Conducts training on
proper plumbing techniques, code requirements, and safety protocols. Reviews work quality to ensure it meets Master-level standards.
Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example,
expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs). Conducts price comparison of parts and travel-related costs. Orders parts
and replacement equipment and tracks orders. Records purchases and usage. Submits warranty claims. Complies with Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines. Ensures quality work is completed that
complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensures contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract
requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies. Unloads and stores equipment. Transports equipment between facilities.
Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools. Determines customer needs and business priorities.
Coordinates and executes work assignments. Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved. Models and
helps others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Uses the Open Door
Policy. Assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.
Follows safety procedures, responds to work orders, completes documentation, and coordinates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other
business partners using verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
Maintains a safe work environment. Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Reports all safety violations to management.
Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper
maintenance and inventory schedules.
Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.
Participates in an on?call rotation, occurring approximately every 4-6 weeks, to support business?critical needs outside of standard business hours. During assigned on?call periods, responds in a timely manner to incidents or requests and supports issue resolution or appropriate escalation as
needed.
Maintains vehicles in working mechanical (basic maintenance) and cleanliness condition. Coordinates and takes vehicles for required maintenance,
ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged.
Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures vehicles have all the required documents. Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and
lights.
Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.
Wears company uniform and badge according to company policies and procedures.
Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment (for example, forklifts, material?handling equipment, industrial
machines, shop equipment, vehicles) in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures. Performs pre?operation safety checks and post?operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards. Identifies unsafe conditions,
equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalates as required.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and
guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and
building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on

The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
