About The Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, creative, commercially-minded attorney to support our Americas Advisory business. As a Counsel on the Advisory team of CBRE's Legal Department, you will partner closely with our sales professionals, managers and leadership teams to negotiate and draft contracts and provide legal guidance, while assessing and mitigating risk proactively, creatively and strategically. You'll also play a key role in the Legal Department by collaborating with colleagues on industry-leading legal risk mitigation strategies in response to market changes and conditions impacting CBRE's Advisory business.
What You'll Do:
Review, negotiate and draft a high volume of contracts and transactional documents related to local and global commercial real estate services, including commercial brokerage, national and global transaction management and consulting services.
Assess moderately complex contractual risks and counsel business teams and leadership on legal risk issues associated with client contracts, as well as contract interpretation, implementation, and risk mitigation strategies.
Support senior Legal colleagues and department leadership with research and other projects related to CBRE's Advisory business.
Partner with sales professionals, managers and leadership with respect to negotiation strategy, potential business disruptions, managing conflicts of interest, dispute resolution, and adherence to CBRE's policies and procedures.
Collaborate with senior Legal colleagues and other internal functional areas (e.g., Finance, People, Tax, Digital & Technology, Ethics & Compliance) to identify, assess and thoughtfully mitigate risk exposure.
Investigate and respond to regulatory complaints and potential claims by or against CBRE.
Make decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to meet deadlines and achieve results.
Maintain current knowledge of the law in areas of special interest to the business.
Develop and conduct legal training sessions for business colleagues and Legal Department members.
Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned.

J.D. from a top-tier ABA accredited law school.
Member of applicable State Bar in good standing.
At least 4 years of private practice and/or in-house experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably relating to commercial real estate, professional services, SAAS/technology, and/or intellectual property.
Effective writing and oral presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with relevant CBRE stakeholders.
Well-developed professional judgment with a "can-do" attitude of a practical business attorney.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment, manage multiple tasks, work short deadlines when required and set appropriate priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.
Strong work ethic, analytical and quantitative skills, and experience in creative and strategic problem-solving.
Ability to work flexibly in and out of a formal office environment.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Advisory Counsel position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Counsel position is $175,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
