As a Armed Security Officer - Veteran Opportunity in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset while delivering agile, reliable, and innovative service during routine armed patrol operations.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

Wed07:45 AM - 05:45 PM

Thur07:45 AM - 05:45 PM

Fri07:45 AM - 05:45 PM

Sat07:30 AM - 04:45 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.

Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site directives, maintaining professional presence and following all applicable post orders for assigned government operations.

Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations when required, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

Be at least 21 years of age.

An armed guard card/license is preferred.

CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
