TheLouisiana State Police/Transportation Safety Services (TSS)is comprised of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE), Mobile Weight Enforcement (MWE), and Towing and Recovery Units (TRU). The primary responsibilities of TSS include reducing the number and severity of commercial motor vehicle crashes as well as protecting the state's highway infrastructure. TSS also ensures compliance with applicable state and federal regulations governing commercial vehicles, the towing and recovery industry, vehicle storage facilities, and motor vehicle inspection stations. These objectives are accomplished through a program of roadside safety inspections, annual facility inspections, and educational outreach initiatives.
TheAdministrative Coordinator IV is a paraprofessional position that receives broad supervision from an Administrative Program Manager 2 and serves as a liaison between commissioned officers conducting compliance inspections, the commercial vehicle industry, and the public. The TSS Administrative Coordinator IV uses independent knowledge of federal and state commercial vehicle regulations, along with sound judgement to provide specific and situational guidance and direction to questions and/or complaints from the public regarding the applicability of the state regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Perform administrative tasks related to Towing and Recovery and Window Tint operations
Assist in preparing, organizing, and submitting correspondence, reports, and special requests in a timely manner
Manage payroll and timekeeping responsibilities for TSS staff
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Manages daily mail operations, including sorting and routing to appropriate personnel
Communicate with internal staff and external stakeholders to gather required information and ensure compliance
Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient workflow and regulatory compliance
Answer and operates main TSS phone line, assist callers with inquiries, and directs call to the appropriate department or personnel
