Job Title: ASRS Operator

Department/Group: Warehouse

Location: Philadelphia

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of Objective:

To monitor the operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Warehouse and process material orders for Production and Shipping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the proper operation of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Maintain material flow both in and out of the ASRS which includes determining priorities and determining which tasks get sent out in which order to which crane if required.

Resolve all crane faults as necessary.

Responsible for notifying the Supervisor in the event of inventory inaccuracies or crane operational issues.

Ensure that all tasks that are aborted are properly processed.

Resolve all conveyor backups HC, RC, etc. when applicable.

Process Production material requests through JD Edwards.

Perform inventory lookups/run FEFO reports in JDE and order material from the high-rise or communicate to supervisor or warehousers material requests for non-high rise stored material.

Direct warehousers as necessary in the absence of the warehouse supervisor.

Perform inventory transfers and over-rides as necessary to maintain inventory accuracy and flow of material to Production.

Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT:

High School Graduate

1-2 years of experience in a production or warehouse environment.

Basic math and computer competency

Knowledge of JDE system

Basic math and computer competency.

Capability to maintain focus and appropriate demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Good interpersonal communication

Capability to organize and manage job priorities.

Experience in the design, implementation, and validation of Quality Management System (QMS) software

and/or QMS remediation projects. Experience with ComplianceWire a plus.

High School Graduate

1-2 years of experience in a production or warehouse environment.
