We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team on a short-term, 6-week assignment. This remote position will focus on bank reconciliations, data entry, and gathering financial information from internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with accounting systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Complete accurate and timely data entry of financial information.

Request, collect, and organize supporting documentation and accounting-related information.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.

Assist with account reviews and reconciliation processes.

Enter and update information within accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online and Complete Advantage.

Communicate with team members and stakeholders to obtain required information and support accounting activities.

Perform other administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or similar accounting support role.

Experience with QuickBooks Online required.

Experience with Complete Advantage preferred.

Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Compensation & Benefits

Up to $25/hr.

Remote work opportunity.

Flexible part-time schedule (20-25 hours per week) during standard business hours.

Requirements - Hands-on experience performing bank reconciliations in an accounting or bookkeeping environment.

Working knowledge of QuickBooks, including data entry and transaction review.

Ability to code invoices accurately and maintain a high level of detail in financial records.

Experience supporting balance sheet preparation or related account analysis.

Strong data entry skills with consistent accuracy and attention to deadlines.

Clear written and verbal communication skills for requesting information and resolving discrepancies.
