Job Category:Academic Staff Employment Type:Regular Job Profile:Grad Medical Edu Coord Job Summary: The Department of Anesthesiology welcomes applications for the position of GME Program Coordinator. As a vital member of the department\'s education team, the GME Program Coordinator contributes to the development and implementation of the administrative activities of the residency program to meeting accreditation and regulatory requirements. The GME Program Coordinator performs work independently with assignments from the GME Program Administrator, Department Administration, and Coordinates and contributes to the development and implementation of the administrative activities of the residency program as outlined in the accreditation program requirements and other regulatory agencies. Must utilize fundamental knowledge of these requirements to manage workflow components of the administrative and professional responsibilities for the program\'s residents while serving as a liaison between the Program Director, residents, program faculty, institutional Graduate Medical Education (GME) office, and affiliated teaching sites concerning program matters. Performs work independently with assignments from the GME Programs Administrator, Department Administrator, or their designee, and in consultation and regular collaboration with the Program Director and the sponsoring institution\'s Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Director of Graduate Medical Education. Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities will be given first consideration: Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to manage and coordinate multiple complex projects and programs.
