Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join the preventive maintenance team supporting five plants within a large manufacturing complex. In this role, you perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on machinery and production equipment, focusing on equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production operations. You use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track preventive maintenance activities and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery across all five plants in the manufacturing complex.
Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance to quickly restore equipment to service.
Support the production team by diagnosing and resolving equipment issues that impact throughput and quality.
Focus on improving machine reliability and reducing unplanned downtime through thorough inspection and maintenance.
Use a CMMS to document, track, and update all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot mechanical systems including gears, sprockets, pumps, rollers, and gearboxes.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using appropriate tools and schematics.
Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to identify issues and plan repairs.
Work with 480V motors and related electrical components using a multimeter and other diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC drives, ensuring proper operation and integration with control systems.
Apply relay logic principles to identify control circuit faults and implement effective solutions.
Perform PLC troubleshooting to assist in identifying control and automation issues on production equipment.
Apply electrical theory, including Ohm's Law and Watt's Law, when diagnosing electrical problems.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and best practices for industrial environments.
Essential Skills
Strong electro-mechanical maintenance background with 8 or more years of experience preferred.
Extensive experience performing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with mechanical systems including gears, sprockets, pumps, rollers, and gearboxes.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their components.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics accurately.
Competence working with 480V motors and related electrical systems.
Skilled in using a multimeter for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, including Ohm's Law and Watt's Law.
Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drives effectively.
Knowledge of relay logic and its application in industrial control circuits.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.

Strong electrical background and comfort working with 480V, 24V, and 110V systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
8 or more years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team across multiple plants.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Attention to detail when performing preventive maintenance and documenting work in a CMMS.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and other support teams.
Commitment to safety and adherence to industrial safety standards and procedures.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, industrial manufacturing complex that includes multiple plants and a variety of production equipment. You work Monday through Friday on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., focusing on maintenance activities in a large, well-organized facility. The environment is structured to support safe, efficient operations and collaboration among maintenance and production teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
