We are looking for a pizza cook to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious pizzas that keep our guests coming back for more. From hand-stretching the dough and preparing fresh toppings to managing the oven, you will ensure every pizza meets our standards of taste, appearance, and quality. You will also have responsibility for manning the fryers and grill, as necessary depending on other staff present. Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Prepare sauces, and a wide variety of toppings according to established recipes and portion controls.
Pizza Making:Hand-stretch dough, apply sauces, and accurately portion cheeses and toppings to create visually appealing and delicious pizzas.
Oven Management:Operate and manage commercial pizza oven, monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect crusts and browning.
Other Food Preparation:Prepare other ingredients and food as necessary, including chopping vegetables, using the fryers, cook top, and grill to prepare other food orders.
Quality Control:Inspect ingredients for freshness and ensure all finished pizzas and other food meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards.
Station Maintenance:Keep the pizza station and other areas of the kitchen used clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout shift. Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with line cooks, prep cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate ticket fulfillment, especially during peak hours.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience:1-2 years of experience as a pizza cook or line cook preferred. Experience with hand-tossed dough is a major plus!
Culinary Knowledge:Solid understanding of food safety practices, knife skills, and commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.
Speed and Stamina:Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while standing for long periods in a hot kitchen environment.
Detail-Oriented:Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency in food presentation.
Team Player:Excellent communication skills and positive attitude when working with diverse team.
Working Conditions and Physical Environment
Must be able to list up to 40lbs
Ability to work in a high-temperature environment near commercial ovens
