1st Shift - Maintenance Technician - Pay up to 30/hr
Job Description:
The 1st Shift Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining and improving production and facility equipment in a small, family-owned manufacturing environment. Working Monday through Friday on first shift, you will take ownership of the preventive maintenance program, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, and support safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the plant.
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for production and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery, production equipment, mobile equipment, and facility-related systems.
Maintain and repair equipment such as saws, presses, banders, threading machines, welders, forklifts, cranes, and other manufacturing machinery.
Repair and replace mechanical components including gears, bearings, spindles, conveyors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic components, and motors.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective repairs.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on 3-phase motors and 480V electrical systems as needed.
Coordinate with outside service providers and equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems.
Assist with fabrication and welding of equipment components and assemblies using materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Collaborate closely with shop personnel to support equipment performance, production efficiency, and safe operations.
Cross-train on various equipment and manufacturing processes to provide maintenance support across the facility.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to enhance safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
Communicate effectively with service providers and internal stakeholders when additional technical assistance is required.
Essential Skills:
At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical industrial maintenance skills, including repair and replacement of gears, bearings, spindles, conveyors, and motors.
Proficiency with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Hands-on welding and fabrication experience with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and similar materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support troubleshooting and repair.
Experience working with 3-phase motors and 480V electrical systems, including basic electrical troubleshooting.
Industrial maintenance technician with exposure to a variety of manufacturing equipment.
Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external service providers when additional support is needed.
Service-oriented mindset with a focus on equipment reliability and production support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with threading machinery, particularly roll-cut and bolt threading equipment, is a strong plus.
Experience in welding processes such as MIG welding.
Experience in a small manufacturing environment with cross-functional responsibilities.
Comfort working with cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
Familiarity with anchor bolt manufacturing or related heavy industrial production is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
