Troubleshoot and support Siemens PLC controls, including interpreting and using schematics to identify and resolve control system faults.
Work safely with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems, performing electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
Maintain and repair predominantly manual industrial equipment, adapting to a low-automation environment and ensuring reliable operation.
Use personal tools and appropriate test equipment to perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on industrial machinery.
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics to guide diagnostics and repair activities.
Ensure production lines are running efficiently by monitoring equipment performance, addressing issues proactively, and coordinating with production staff.
Document maintenance activities and basic records using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook as required.

Work as a self-starter, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues, suggesting preventive measures, and contributing to long-term equipment reliability.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience with heavy industrial equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, and motors.
Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repair on industrial machinery such as presses, cutting machines, steel draw machines, and threading machines.

Work Environment
The role is based in a multi-plant industrial manufacturing environment that operates primarily with heavy and manual industrial equipment. One plant houses high-volume equipment, while another focuses on heavy-duty equipment, and additional plants contain a variety of machinery and production processes. Automation is minimal, so technicians work extensively with manual and mechanically intensive equipment. The environment involves working around steel draw machines, cutting machines, presses, threading machines, and Siemens-controlled equipment, with regular exposure to industrial noise, moving machinery, and typical plant conditions. Technicians work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components, using their own tools and standard maintenance equipment.
