Manufacturing Environmental Specialist

Position Overview

This position is posted for contractor conversion purposes for a Manufacturing Environmental Specialist.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve overall environmental performance

Collaborate with Health & Safety to support a strong, integrated EHS culture

Oversee, prepare, and submit annual environmental permits (TCEQ, SWPPP, SPCC)

Coordinate ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification and recertification activities

Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees

Lead environmental strategy, risk reduction initiatives, and compliance improvement projects

Conduct internal environmental assessments, audits, and site inspections

Work closely with International's Corporate Environmental Team on North America-wide initiatives

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies

Establish, track, and report environmental performance goals for the facility

Monitor and report key environmental metrics and KPIs on a regular basis

Support Manufacturing 4.0 and continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability

Maintain and execute the facility's Waste Management Plan

Serve as the primary liaison with local government and environmental regulatory agencies

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of environmental health and safety experience

Master's degree and no experience

At least 3 years of environmental health and safety experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred

Degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred

Strong background in auditing, compliance, and environmental systems (air, wastewater, chemical & waste management)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Experience with project management

Positive, proactive mindset with a passion for environmental and community

Salary Minimum: USD $72,000.00/Yr.

Salary Maximum: USD $108,000.00/Yr.
