Position Summary
The Asset Management Associate plays a pivotal role in driving the performance of multifamily properties across the United States by providing critical financial reporting and supporting the execution of renovation and business plans. This position ensures alignment with company goals by partnering closely with Asset Managers to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful data to lenders, investors, and senior leadership.
This is a highly collaborative and detail-oriented role that requires a strong foundation in financial analysis, project coordination, and strategic execution. The Associate will support portfolio performance through proactive monitoring, robust reporting, and hands-on involvement in capital improvement initiatives. Success in this role hinges on being organized, accountable, and analytically sharp, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a dynamic portfolio.
You'll work cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders, including property managers, lenders, and partners, ensuring a cohesive and results-driven approach to asset management. The core mission of this role is to support operational excellence and value creation across the portfolio while ensuring compliance and transparency with all reporting requirements.
Essential Duties
Portfolio Oversight & Support
Assist the assigned Asset Manager with the day-to-day asset management of a portfolio of 20+ multifamily properties across multiple markets.
Monitor property-level performance and flag key issues or risks requiring strategic discussion or corrective action.
Participate in due diligence efforts during acquisitions and dispositions by preparing reports, gathering documentation, and contributing to transaction execution.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review lender, investor, and partner reports, including quarterly updates, internal dashboards, and custom reports as needed.
Analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and coordinate with the accounting team on reclassifications or corrections.
Contribute to monthly performance calls with revenue management and other internal stakeholders, supporting decisions with data-driven insights.
Capital & Construction Management
Lead the construction draw process to recover capital expenses related to renovation programs and lender-required improvements (30%+ of role).
Track and monitor annual business plans, capital projects, and immediate repair items. Support project timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
Communicate with lenders and partners to schedule site inspections and respond to performance-related inquiries.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., property management, accounting, acquisitions) to ensure information sharing and seamless execution.
Additional Duties
Support ad hoc financial and operational analysis projects to inform strategy or improve processes.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
0-2 years of real estate experience, preferably in multifamily asset management, acquisitions, or real estate finance.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial data and findings.
Tools & Systems:
Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to build and maintain financial models and large-scale data spreadsheets.
The role involves frequent use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.

Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000/yr
If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
