The Ambulatory Lead is responsible for coordinating and managing the Epic Ambulatory implementation team, ensuring that clinical applications effectively support ambulatory operations and organizational objectives. This role partners with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to oversee Epic implementations, system optimizations, upgrades, and ongoing operational support. The Coordinator facilitates project planning, governance, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration while helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient ambulatory clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support the Epic Ambulatory application portfolio, including Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, MyChart, Wisdom, and related applications.
Assist in planning and coordinating Epic implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and enhancement initiatives across ambulatory services.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to improve ambulatory workflows, application performance, and end-user satisfaction.
Support governance processes by coordinating project prioritization, change management activities, and issue resolution across the ambulatory portfolio.
Serve as a liaison between clinical operations, Information Technology, and leadership to ensure alignment of application initiatives with organizational priorities.
Coordinate project activities, monitor timelines, identify risks, and escalate issues to support successful project delivery.
Facilitate meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure timely follow-up on implementation activities.
Assist with workflow analysis, system design validation, testing coordination, training support, and go-live readiness activities.
Promote standardization of clinical workflows, documentation, and Epic best practices across ambulatory departments.
Balance ongoing operational support with implementation and optimization priorities.
Monitor project metrics and prepare status reports for leadership and governance committees.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance clinical efficiency, provider satisfaction, and patient experience.
Required Experience
Extensive experience supporting Epic Ambulatory applications, including: Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, MyChart, & Wisdom
Experience leading Epic implementations, optimizations, upgrades, and operational support within ambulatory care settings.
Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and cross-application integration.
Experience supporting governance processes, implementation planning, and operational prioritization.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives in a complex healthcare environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience coordinating Epic application initiatives across multiple ambulatory specialties or clinics.
Knowledge of Epic implementation methodology and healthcare operational best practices.
Experience supporting population health, patient engagement, or ambulatory transformation initiatives.
Experience working within integrated healthcare delivery systems.
Strong knowledge of ambulatory clinical operations and Epic application functionality.
Understanding of clinical workflow analysis, system configuration, and operational support processes.
Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
Ability to prioritize work, coordinate resources, and remove barriers to successful project execution.
Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, clinical leadership, operational teams, Information Technology, and executive stakeholders.
Commitment to continuous improvement and delivery of high-quality clinical technology solutions.
Coordinates cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $90.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
