Job Summary and Qualifications
The SDI Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the SDI Operations Director in daily operations of the SDI department, including oversight of multiple vendors. The Manager is responsible for guiding assigned staff in their day to day responsibilities which includes mentoring and training them as needed.
What will you do in this role:
Building a strong understanding of Parallon Revenue cycle operations, including business processes, tools, and technologies.
Identifying staffing needs and communicating those needs to the SDI Leadership.
Screening, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
Arranging for the training of new employees.
Reviewing and monitoring SDI reporting (e.g. EDW Trended Aging Report)
Assuring productivity of each staff member, reviewing each staff member's productivity and QA on a monthly basis and performing annual evaluations
Counseling staff with disciplinary, productivity and/or QA issues
Conducting monthly staff meetings, providing area overview, team motivation and ongoing training.
Ensuring SDI team members, Team Leads, and vendors adhere to Parallon policies and procedures.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to lower costs and improve service to customers
Researching and responding to account inquiries and escalations from SSC management, SSC/Corporate legal teams, facility management, patients, collection vendors, etc.
Reviewing, approving, or rejecting eTran lines
Monitoring inventory in partnership with SDI Operations Director to ensure appropriate vendor resourcing.
Creating process flows, policies and procedures for operations as needed.
Ensuring vendor education, re-education and scheduled trainings occur and actively engages in education and training.
Working with SDI Training TL and Parallon Education to ensure training materials remain relevant to Industry Standards and Parallon Best Demonstrated Practices, as well as assisting in the development of training materials for new technologies and processes.
Meeting regularly with vendors to review performance, build and maintain the vendor relationship and ensure vendor staffing roster remains up to date.
Completing monthly productivity reconciliations and ensuring vendor quality assurance audits are completed per established policy for all assigned vendors.
Reviewing vendor invoices to ensure they match agreed-upon terms and services delivered (quantity, quality, pricing), identifying and resolving discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders, contracts, or received goods/services, and coordinating the approval process by obtaining necessary internal approvals.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute education requirements.
Minimum 3 years management level experience in a healthcare environment, 5 years preferred.
