A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician I - Burnisher / Sand Blaster to join its production team. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, blasting, grinding, or industrial equipment experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The selected candidate will perform abrasive blasting, burnishing, and surface finishing operations on aerospace components while following strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate burnish cabinets, blasting cabinets, and walk-in blasting booths
Load and unload parts and blasting media including glass bead and other materials
Burnish and blast coated aerospace components to required specifications
Visually inspect parts before, during, and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
Use hand tools, grinding equipment, and power tools as needed
Assist with masking and other production support duties when required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company, customer, and safety procedures throughout production
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous burnishing, sandblasting, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred
Familiarity with power tools and mechanical equipment
Experience in aerospace or metal finishing environments is a plus
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and crouching
Repetitive use of hands and wrists
Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work inside blasting cabinets and production areas for extended periods
