We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity. ## Skills and Competencies Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate commercial real estate credit risk and interpret financial data Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to support transaction analysis Ability to assess property cash flows and deal structures within commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting analysis and drafting presale reports Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.## Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the commercial real estate sector Experience in structured finance is preferred but not required## Responsibilities Analyze and evaluate CMBS transactions to support accurate credit ratings and research insights. Analyze credit aspects of commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions, including property cash flows and deal-level financial modeling Formulate and substantiate credit opinions based on detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis Serve as the primary ratings analyst on assigned transactions and lead analytical assessments Present transaction analyses to rating committees and communicate findings in internal forums Produce accurate and insightful presale reports and supporting documentation Conduct in-depth research on credit trends and issues impacting the CMBS sector * Participate in special projects and contribute to thought leadership initiatives to enhance analytics and research impact## About the TeamThe Commercial Real Estate Finance Group's CMBS primary ratings team is responsible for assigning initial credit ratings to securities backed by commercial real estate mortgage loans and producing impactful research on key credit issues. The team operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on analytical excellence and market insight.
