Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description
This role focuses on industrial painting of ramps, trailers, and related equipment using professional spray systems in a production environment. You will work with modern fabrication tools and paint application equipment to deliver high-quality finishes while maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Responsibilities
Prepare ramps, trailers, and related components for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and performing basic surface preparation.
Apply industrial coatings using HVLP sprayers and other paint application equipment to achieve consistent and high-quality finishes.
Set up, operate, and maintain spray booths and sprayers, ensuring proper ventilation, safety, and equipment functionality.
Work from production schedules to complete painting tasks on time and support overall production goals.
Use fabrication equipment such as saws, drill presses, and CNCs as needed to support the preparation of parts for painting.
Operate forklifts safely to move materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility.
Inspect painted parts for quality, identifying and correcting defects such as runs, drips, or improper coverage.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of provided personal protective equipment such as helmets and other safety gear.
Maintain a clean, organized, and slightly dusty but comfortable work area, including regular cleaning of tools and equipment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and support continuous improvement in the paint and fabrication areas.
Essential Skills
Experience as an industrial painter in a production or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency using HVLP sprayers and working in paint booths.
Ability to paint large items such as ramps, trailers, and similar structures.
Experience operating fabrication tools such as saws, drill presses, and CNC equipment.
Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy production environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly.
Reliability to work assigned shifts and support production schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Welding experience is a plus and may be used on specialized projects.
Interest in learning and participating in military welding training on specialized projects.
Willingness to learn additional fabrication and production processes.
Ability to work effectively in a family-owned shop environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Work Environment
This role operates in a clean, comfortable, temperature-controlled industrial facility that can be a little dusty due to fabrication and painting activities. Standard schedules include a 1st shift from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Fridays, as well as a weekend shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a shift premium. The environment includes paint booths, HVLP sprayers, fabrication equipment such as saws, drill presses, and CNC machines, and forklift traffic. Personal protective equipment, including helmets and other safety gear, is provided to support a safe and professional work setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
