Job Title: General Laborer - Construction
Job Description
This full-time, first-shift role offers an immediate start for a motivated and reliable Construction General Laborer / Helper. You will support a pre-erected job site by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that keep operations running smoothly and the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Responsibilities
Perform general construction duties around the job site to support ongoing projects.
Clean and maintain buildings, trailers, and surrounding work areas to ensure a tidy, organized site.
Break down pallets and dispose of materials properly, including placing debris in designated dumpsters.
Pick up trash and remove debris from the job site to promote safety and efficiency.
Move tools, equipment, and supplies as needed to support trades and site operations.
Assist with site cleanup, including sweeping, organizing materials, and clearing walkways.
Support various construction activities such as concrete work, carpentry assistance, roofing support, drywall handling, caulking, masonry support, demolition cleanup, trenching and trench digging, and other basic labor as directed.
Help with tasks related to solar, landscaping, farming or farm hand style labor, mill, quarry, or mine-@type environments when applicable to the project.
Assist with basic equipment operation and equipment repair tasks as directed, following safety guidelines.
Use hand and power tools safely and correctly for assigned tasks.
Safely navigate the construction site, maintaining awareness of equipment, vehicles, and ongoing work.
Follow instructions from the site supervisor and collaborate with the team to complete tasks efficiently.
Adhere to all site safety rules and procedures, including OSHA-related practices, to maintain a safe work environment.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
General labor experience and a team-oriented mindset, with willingness to help wherever needed on a construction site.
Ability to perform general cleaning of buildings, trailers, and job site areas, including trash pickup.
Experience or comfort using basic hand and power tools.
Ability to safely navigate an active construction site and remain aware of surroundings.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance.
Willingness to learn new tasks and follow direction from supervisors.
Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with site cleanup, including pallet breakdown and material sorting, is beneficial.
Experience in physically demanding roles such as farming or farm hand work, landscaping, mill, quarry, or mine environments is advantageous.
Familiarity with equipment operation or basic equipment repair is helpful.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required.
General understanding of construction practices and job site safety is an asset.
Rigging knowledge or experience is a plus.

Work Environment
You will work primarily outdoors at an active construction site during first shift hours. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and physically demanding, with exposure to varying weather conditions. You will regularly handle tools, materials, and equipment while working around heavy machinery and ongoing construction activities. The role requires appropriate work attire suitable for a construction environment, including sturdy footwear and any required personal protective equipment provided or specified by the site.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
