Position Summary
Facilities Management is entrusted with the development, care, maintenance, and operation of Colorado State University's physical properties. The Contract Technician II position will review proposals and the data provided by the contractor, architect, or consultant, and create an individualized contract based upon the proposal and maintain contract documentation to meet department, institutional and state audit requirements based upon approved Office of the State Architect forms and Board of Governors processes. This position will be required to be in person during the training/probationary period which may last up to 12 months, with an option for hybrid once that is completed.
Job Duties
Review and verify submitted Certificates of Insurance and bonds for compliance with State Office of the State Architect, State Building Delegee regulations and CSU Risk Management requirements; acquires missing or incomplete information.
Issues Notices to Proceed for Design and/or Construction at project milestones and upon receipt and approval of code compliance, drawings, and specifications. Requests Building Inspection Record as needed by code compliance.
Confirms with CSU's Office of the General Counsel that all edits and changes to contracting documents are acceptable and align with Office of the State Architect and within University policy.
Respond to University Project Manager, contractor, and vendor requests by referencing state contract documents and processes, university, and State Buildings Delegee processes.
Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:
Experience Only:
Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as paralegal, purchasing, procurement or contracting.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as paralegal, purchasing, procurement or contracting equal to two (2) years. The highly desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and experience directly related and critical to this position:
Experience working on general contracts, legal agreements, or real estate contracts.
Knowledge of or experience with insurance or risk management.
Strong attention to detail.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Experience with filing, organizing, and record keeping.
Directly related state service experience.
Salary Range
$43,932 - $57,120
