What Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Finance Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall performance of the following core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage Pricing Transformation mitigation initiatives that drive process change to improve customer pricing experience and reduce profit leakage through chargebacks and negative margin.
Emphasized focus on chargebacks profit leakage reduction and operational efficiencies by project managing process improvements or IT funded work.
Lainson between the operations team and Analytics team to support reporting needs.
Analyze and summarize large data sets of dispute data, including, but not limited to pricing mismatches, negative margin lines, and chargeback data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with internal IT and transformation stakeholders to contribute to the building and designing of IT funded solutions aimed at improving the pricing experience for customers and reducing profit leakage.
Develop and implement strategies to improve customer experience and mitigate financial loss.
Work on complex projects of large scope, including identifying and resolving potential roadblocks.
Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, ensuring solutions are innovative and consistent with organizational objectives.
Interact with on and offshore support teams to ensure process performance goals and project deliverables are met.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to SOX and internal controls.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
Interact with peers, customers, GPO partners, and suppliers at various management levels, including senior management.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of contract management, customer relationship management, sales, and operations functions.
Gain consensus from various parties involved in or impacted by projects.
Handle sensitive situations and/or information in a professional manner.
Assist with tracking and building of presentations and communications to senior leadership.
This role directly impacts the customer/supplier experience and company financial performance by:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with improving customer pricing experience and reducing profit leakage through chargebacks and negative margin.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
Contributing to the development of policies and procedures that improve the pricing experience for customers and enhance financial efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4-8 years of experience, preferred
2-4 years of experience in finance chargeback/rebates operations, preferred
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in analytical tools like Excel/Macro or Alteryx, preferred
Experience with data analytics, SQL, and Tableau is a plus
Extensive experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
Experience leading and managing projects while influencing through other internal or external stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
